What’s new at MoneyWellth
We’re always working on new features and improvements, and today’s release is one that we are all excited about. New Features and improvements released today:
Split Transactions (Premium Feature)
You can now split a single transaction directly within the app to reflect multiple budget categories and spend types.
You can divide a single transaction by:
- Percentage
- Equal amounts
- Specific dollar amounts
Each split can have its own category and custom transaction name, giving you complete flexibility. This is especially helpful for:
- Grocery purchases that include household and personal items
- Large transactions that span multiple budget categories
- Shared expenses you want to divide across spending types
Splitting transactions makes your budget more precise and reflects how you actually spend, reducing miscategorized transactions and improving insights.
Improved Process to Add Accounts
We’ve enhanced the process for adding accounts to an existing connected institution using Plaid’s Update Mode. This reduces the likelihood of duplicate accounts and creates a smoother, more reliable connection experience.
Custom Display Names for Transaction
You can now update the display name on the Transaction Detail page. The default name remains the Merchant Name, but you can personalize it to better reflect your spending. Updated names now appear consistently across all transaction references.
Enhanced Accounts Insights Tile
The Account Insights tile on your Dashboard has a refreshed, streamlined design. If you don’t have an account connected under a specific account type (for example, Investments), you’ll now see “Add +” instead of $0.00. Tapping this launches the secure account connection flow, making it easier to expand your financial view.
Faster, Simplified Account Connection Flow
We’ve streamlined the account connection animations after an account is connected. The updated flow is more efficient, helping you get through setup faster and get back to managing your budget.
Clearer Transaction Amounts
Transactions that previously appeared as negative values from Plaid will now display as positive amounts, improving readability and quick understanding of spending.
